For an Amsterdam based scale-up company, we are looking for a Senior Python Developer with great Back-end skills. Join them in developing groundbreaking solutions that detect some of the world’s most complex diseases like early stage cancer, musculoskeletal and neurological disorders.

Requirements

Your job;

Their mission is to create software that will analyze 3D medical images and automatically create diagnostic reports with (super) human-level accuracy. You will be leading the development of their back-end infrastructure while working with an extraordinarily talented team of software engineers and computer scientists. This will include devops work, like designing the release pipeline and testing framework, integration with client systems, as well as developing image-processing modules and interfacing with deep learning models. 

 

Responsibilities;

  • Collect requirements, design and develop the infrastructure of their Deep Learning and API back-ends; 

  • Work closely with clients and Deep Learning scientists to integrate cutting edge algorithms with medical workflows; 

  • Work in a structured way to coordinate specs, development workflows and test cases to comply with Quality Assurance (QA) standards for CE and FDA certification; 

  • Analyse and optimize response-times and performance; 

  • Acts as team lead and mentor to junior developers; 

  • Collaborate with the full team to make strategic recommendations and improvements to the 
technology and business. 


Experience;

  • Ability to work independently and be self-driven, but also; 

  • Ability to work in a start-up environment with a multidisciplinary team including medical experts, 
software engineers and machine learning scientists; 

  • Ability to use creativity to design, build and code technical solutions; 

  • Strong analysis skills; 

  • Fluent in Python and broad familiarity with build/dev tools and languages; 

  • Experience with deployment and management of cloud infrastructures.
